Working with Select Sitters
Navigating this crazy new employment world after the pandemic isn't easy for anyone. At Select Sitters, it is our goal to both simplify and support you in your search for the best fit possible. We work with you to represent yourself as a top-level candidate, advocate for you with our clients, and ultimately strive to find the perfect match for you as a job seeker.
If working with an agency is new to you, let me clear the air. Our services are completely free to our candidates. Our role is to get to know more about you and support you throughout your journey as a caregiver (before, during, and after placement). Our families will pay you and employ you directly (yes, on the books and with benefits!) and we will always be here as a listening ear or encouraging voice along the way.

We are looking for caregivers who have....
3 years of childcare experience
Excellent Childcare References
Have reliable transportation
Clean Background Check & Driving Record (if driving is required for the position)
Are willing to be CPR/First Aid Certified
18 years old+
We will reach out to schedule a Zoom or Google Interview. You can expect that it will take between 30 minutes-1 hour. We want to get to know you more and discuss more about your ideal position.
After your Interview, we will complete the following screening process.
We will call each of your provided references and let you know if we need additional references.
We will ask you to fill out a background check form so that we have your permission before completing this check. You will also receive a copy from our background check company.
The fun begins! We will share openings that match our discussion points during the interview. You confirm interest.
In some cases if a candidate needs a resume update or refresher, we will work with you to create an eye catching resume that highlights all of your relevant skills. We want to help you make the best first impression.
Once we confirm the positions of interest, we will connect you directly with the family or families you are interested in. While every family has a little different process, typically you can expect the following....
Interview with the Family
Most families start with a Zoom or in person. They are welcome to schedule a 2nd interview or trial day with you as well if you both feel confident in moving forward.
You got the job!! The family wants to hire you and we will work with them to create a competitive offer along with a detailed contract to help protect both you and the family and outline all the details upfront so that you are fully aware of expectations before. We value your feedback as part of the process and always give the nanny the opportunity to express any questions or concerns, and request changes to the contract if needed.
After everyone agrees to the contract, we are always here to support you. Some nannies choose to join our on-demand babysitting service while others simply stay in touch to keep us posted on how things are going.
