Devoted and Reliable Nanny (27545)

Select Sitters is seeking an engaging, nurturing, and flexible nanny for a family in Knightdale starting in Early May. The family has a 2.5 year old and a baby due in February. The nanny will care primarily for the infant as the oldest does spend half of the week with his mom. The schedule will be Monday/Tuesday from 7:15am to 4:15pm, Thursday from 7:15am to 3:15am, and Friday from 7:15am to 12:15pm. They can offer some Wednesday hours with notice for a nanny who has that flexibility. The ideal candidate will be playful, creative and enthusiastic about early childhood education, with a love of teaching, enriching developmentally appropriate activities, and outside time for their oldest. They would love someone who enjoys reading, taking walks, singing, and talking to their infant.

The family hopes for a nanny who can bring a sense of calm to the busy chaos, and who is able to lovingly set boundaries and stick to them, working with parents as a team to provide the best care possible. They are hoping for a nanny who is comfortable caring for their children when they are sick (with non-covid related illnesses) and who is very reliable and punctual as both parents work in healthcare and have demanding jobs. The family is looking for a nanny who takes COVID seriously, and is willing to keep exposures to a minimum. They do have a cat and dog. They would love help with light housekeeping such as laundry, cleaning bottles, unloading the dishwasher, and tidying up after the kids meals and playtime. They are looking for a long-term match.

Qualifications:

-3 - 5+ years of professional childcare experience

-Infant and toddler care experience

-Experience as a Nanny or Preschool Teacher preferred

-Excellent References

-CPR/First Aid Certification

-Reliable Transportation & Room for 2 car seats

-Clean Driving Record and background check

-Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required

-Comfortable with 1 cat and 1 dog

-Ability to Commit Long-Term
