Energetic and Patient Nanny (27613)
Updated: Feb 22
Select Sitters is seeking an active, patient, and laid-back nanny for a family in N. Raleigh starting soon. The nanny will care for an almost 6 year old boy and 2 year old girl. The kids enjoy lots of outdoor time, playing pretend, reading books, and arts and crafts. They are looking for an interactive nanny who values the importance of both keeping the kids busy but also helping them grow and learn through play. The children attend a local Montessori school. The two-year-old is almost fully potty trained, and they are hoping for their nanny to be experienced with this as well as consistent with boundaries and discipline. They are looking for an excellent communicator as they value open discussion. Currently, dad is working from home in a separate office, however, he typically focuses on work unless the nanny requires his assistance. Mom is a pediatrician so they do want to make sure their nanny is comfortable with this, and also hope that their nanny will take all the necessary precautions with COVID. She is fully vaccinated for COVID and wearing PPE when seeing any sick patients and taking all precautions when arriving home. They are hoping for their nanny to also be open to getting the COVID vaccine when available. They are asking for help with transporting the children to school, so the nanny should have a clean driving record and reliable vehicle that can fit two car seats.
They are looking for a nanny who is available between the hours of 7:30 am-5:30 pm or 6 pm at the latest. The family will guarantee 30-32 hours per week, and anticipate needing care some weeks up to 40 or 42 hours. Flexibility would be ideal with their schedule if there are any changes (generally these changes would be related to school schedules; virtual, in person, etc). During morning hours, while both children are in school, the family would love to have help with household tasks, occasional errands, laundry, and meal prep. During the summer, the hours will be full time with the exception of any half-day summer camps. They are ideally looking for a long-term nanny who is open to committing for the next 2-3 years and will begin with a one year contract. They are willing to pay mileage, paid vacation, paid holidays, and offer semi-annual raises for the right fit! They are hoping for their new nanny to start mid-March, but have flexibility to start a little sooner for the right match.
Ideal Nanny Would Have:
-5+ years of professional childcare experience
-Experience as a Nanny or Preschool Teacher
-CPR/First Aid Certification
-Reliable Transportation & Room for 2 car seats
-Clean Driving Record
-Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
-Comfortable with older family dog
-Ability to Commit Long-Term
