Engaging & Patient Special Needs Nanny (27612)
Updated: 20 hours ago
Select Sitters is seeking a trustworthy and reliable nanny with special needs experience for a family in Raleigh starting soon. They have a 2-year-old girl and a sweet 4.5-year-old boy with ADHD and high functioning autism. The parents use PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy) and Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) as their strategies with their son, and they would love a nanny who is familiar with these practices or is willing to learn!
The typical schedule will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The nanny will need to transport the children to and from school, so a clean driving record and a safe and reliable vehicle are essential. The family is hoping to find a nanny who will be active and engaging. The kids love to go to the park, be read to, play in the sandbox, and of course, the boy loves anything to do with trains and cars. The 4.5-year-old does have a difficult time regulating his emotions, so someone who can be calm, decisive, and loving in stressful situations would be ideal.
The family would greatly appreciate some help with light housekeeping duties as well, including picking up after the children, putting toys away, doing the dishes, and tidying up the kitchen after meals. A quick sweep of the kitchen floors and potentially mopping if there are any food particles that need to be cleaned up.
Select Sitters can provide supplemental babysitting opportunities to increase weekly hours if desired.
The ideal candidate would have:
-Special needs experience
-CPR & First Aid Certified
-Clean driving record
-Be trustworthy, reliable, active, and patient
