Flexible and Engaging Nanny (27278)

Updated: Jun 14

Select Sitters is seeking a flexible, nurturing, and reliable nanny for a family in Hillsborough starting in early July. The nanny would be caring for a sweet and playful 2.5 year old girl and an infant who was born in April. They would love a nanny with some educational background who would enjoy planning structured learning and help their daughter learn through play, and she also will be attending a half day preschool 3-5 days a week this fall. Their ideal nanny would be active, engaging, and flexible. The parents both work demanding jobs and hours and will need someone who can roll with the punches so to speak. A nanny who is an excellent communicator is a must! They are hoping for their nanny to also help with light housekeeping such as laundry for the children, unloading and loading the dishwasher, helping with cleaning up after a meal, etc. They are seeking someone who is vaccinated for COVID and willing to continue to take precautions to protect their little ones. They would love to have a nanny with a clean driving record and vehicle to take their daughter on outings to the park, museums, and activities. They will also need their nanny to pickup and drop off at preschool in the fall. The family does have a big dog who will need to be let out from time to time.

They need a flexible nanny! The schedule will involve one heavy week and one light week and 135 monthly hours on average. The nanny will work between the hours of 7am-6pm Monday-Friday, with help also needed over the weekend two weekends a month. They also occasionally need someone to be on call from 2pm-midnight in the case that both parents are on call (this is rare that they actually get called in, but nanny just needs to have phone nearby and be available). They are looking for a new nanny to join their family long-term starting when mom returns to work from maternity leave in early July, but do have a little flexibility to have their nanny start mid-July for the right match.

Ideal Nanny Would Have:

-5+ years of professional childcare experience

-Experience with infants and toddlers

-Excellent References

-Past Nanny experience strongly preferred

-CPR/First Aid Certification

-Fully up to date on vaccinations (flu shot, TDAP, & COVID vaccine)

-Reliable Transportation + Room for 2 carseats

-Clean Driving Record

-Clean Criminal Record

-Ability to commit long-term
