Mature and Flexible Part-Time Nanny (27510)

Updated: Jul 8

Select Sitters is seeking a mature, experienced, and loving nanny for a family in Carrboro starting in late August or early September. They recently welcomed a baby girl, and their little boy is 2.5 years old. They are seeking a nurturing, part-time nanny who can help with the transition from maternity leave to going back to work part-time. Big brother loves to run and play and the family does avoid screens for him at the moment. They prefer someone who is going to redirect and help him work through big feelings when he’s at home. He will be attending preschool when mom goes back to work. Mom will likely be working from home as well. They are hoping for someone who has had the COVID vaccine and takes the pandemic seriously. The family does have one dog, a Corgi. They may need assistance with transportation to and from school for their oldest but have a vehicle that the nanny could use.

The schedule will be 3 days a week, for 6 hours each day. At first, while Mom is still on maternity leave, the schedule will be Tuesday and Thursday, and Wednesdays will be added in September. A sample schedule would be Tuesday from 9:00am - 3:00pm and Thursday from 11:00am - 5:00pm, but they are flexible on hours during those days and are willing to determine a final schedule together with their nanny. They are also open to providing additional evening hours if desired.

The ideal nanny will be warm and attentive. They are hoping for a nanny who is knowledgeable about early childhood development and would love experience in a preschool/daycare setting. They would love help with folding laundry and organizing too. They also hope for someone who has some flexibility in their schedule to do an occasional date night.

Ideal Nanny Would Have:

-3+ years of professional childcare experience

-Daycare/Preschool experience

-Excellent References

-Experience with Infants

-CPR/First Aid Certification

-Clean Driving Record

-Fully Vaccinated (including TDAP, COVID, and willing to get annual Flu vaccine)

-Ability to Commit Long-Term
