Nurturing & Engaging Nanny (27606)
Updated: Feb 15
Select Sitters is seeking a nurturing, outgoing, and engaging nanny for a family in Raleigh starting soon. The family has a happy 7-month-old little boy who has been home with mom and dad while they work through the pandemic. Now that he is becoming mobile and curious, they need the help of a professional so that they can focus on their work. The ideal candidate would be proactive and self-sufficient, yet willing to follow the routine the family has in place. They appreciate a child-led approach to development and would love someone who can engage their little boy as he grows. Their ideal nanny would enjoy planning age-appropriate activities, taking walks, and reading to their baby. They would also love help with tidying up after their baby, his laundry, cleaning bottles and dishes from his meals, and help with light housework such as unloading the dishwasher. The ideal candidate would be progressive and willing to teach/model inclusivity to their son. The family does have two dogs.
Because of the pandemic, they have been keeping their little one home and have a small bubble of contacts. Since they aren’t comfortable putting him in daycare, they also hope to find a nanny who is being extra safe with COVID. Their ideal nanny would be avoiding indoor activities, wearing a mask in public when they must go out, and not taking unnecessary risks.
The nanny will work Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm and this is a pretty set schedule. Both parents work from home and they are hoping for a nanny who is interested in committing for the remainder of 2021 and potentially longer if it’s a great match! They are ready to have their first nanny join their family as soon as available.
Ideal Nanny Would Have:
-5+ years of professional childcare experience
-Experience with babies under 1-year-old
-Teaching or Nanny Experience with this age group
-Bachelor’s degree or Strong Educational Background (ECE courses)
-CPR/First Aid Certification
-Be Taking COVID Precautions
