Positive and Dependable Nanny/Household Manager (27519)
Select Sitters is seeking a dependable, positive and active nanny/household manager for a family in Cary starting no later than October 3rd. The family has four children ranging from 6-12 years old (3 boys and 1 girl) and needs an organized, mature, and strong nanny who can help them encourage and support their children as they grow. All four children are following a year-round calendar currently, so there will be track out periods throughout the year. They do anticipate a change to the traditional calendar for their children within the next year. Their ideal nanny would be skilled at organization as well as calendar and household management. Someone who can truly anticipate the needs of the day and plan ahead.
They are ideally in need of a split schedule since their children will all be in school with the exception of track outs, teacher work days, and sick days. However, they are most interested in the best, long term fit, so are equally happy to offer afternoons only (for instance, 2pm-6pm) if that is most appealing to a stellar candidate. If a split schedule is agreed upon, the consistent hours will be from 7am-9am and 2pm-6pm (for example). They are willing to shift around this schedule a little if the nanny prefers to stay later in the morning until 10am and come around 3pm in the afternoons as well. They are also willing to guarantee a minimum of 30 hours a week, but can offer more during times when the children are out of school. And again, there is flexibility to only do afternoons, as well as even do 20-25 hours a week if that is the desired schedule of their best-fit, long term nanny and household manager!
A sample schedule of responsibilities is as follows, to be adjusted dependent upon the time blocks per day, of course (split schedule or afternoon only)! When the children are in school, their nanny is responsible for making sure the children are ready for school, have breakfast, and all they need for their school day before getting them off to the bus stop. During the school day, they will ask for help with meal prep for dinner and snacks, grocery shopping and errands, laundry, and other household duties. They also will need a nanny who can help with managing the kids extracurricular activities and homework help. The family does have a minivan for the nanny to use to transport the children to and from activities.
The family has strong Christian values, and they would love a nanny who is comfortable and willing to come alongside them in this as another positive influence in their children’s lives.
