Punctual and Proactive Nanny (27517)
Sugar and spice and everything nice! Are you a self-motivated and mature nanny who would love supporting two siblings, with the majority of the time being spent with the infant? A Chapel Hill family has a 6 month old girl and a 3 year old girl, and are hoping for an engaging, loving, and energetic nanny to join their family starting in early August ideally (but are flexible for the right match). Their oldest daughter is in school full time Monday through Friday, so she would only need care on the occasional school closure or workday. Still, someone knowledgeable in both the girls’ stages and able to implement developmentally appropriate routines and activities is important.
Both parents are physicians who work in the hospital setting, so a best fit will also be someone who is extremely punctual. Their schedules can vary a bit week to week and will be provided well in advance, but they are generally looking for care Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM (they occasionally work from home so can be flexible with those hours). Someone who is open to the very sporadic 12 hour day (maybe a couple of times a month) or 6:30 AM start is important due to their career demands. A nanny candidate who is energized by supporting that type of family schedule and is reliable will be pivotal! This opportunity is also great for a childcare professional seeking a firm 40 hours per week with overtime pay included (as needed and applicable).
The primary focus will be coming up with fun activities to engage the girls and sticking to their schedule, but some child-related household support will be needed. For instance, light meal prep, the girls’ laundry, changing crib sheets, and running the vacuum in the living room after meal and play times if needed. Once the schedule and trust is established, the family is also open to you taking the children on outings if desired in the future!
