Skilled and Enthusiastic Nanny (27605)

Updated: Jan 19

Select Sitters is seeking an experienced, thoughtful, and engaging nanny for a family in Raleigh. Their start date is between mid-March and the beginning of April, with some flexibility for their best fit candidate. They have a smart and talkative 3 year old and a sweet 11 month old (who will turn 1 in February). The general schedule will be four days each week from 11:00am - 5:00pm, but the family has flexibility and could use more help if that was their nanny’s preference (for instance, considering up to or more than 30 hours a week).

The right nanny for this family will be a natural teacher who enjoys facilitating child-friendly activities, and can find teachable moments in each day! They feel that their 3 year old son could benefit from a more structured day that includes enriching, age appropriate, themed activities and learning through play. The nanny should also be a great multitasker who is flexible and able to also provide warm and fully attentive care for the baby. Someone who is intuitive and will pick-up on the needs of the children, making adjustments to daily routines as needed.

The ideal candidate will be a calming, patient, and proactive nanny who loves nature walks, will happily chat about cars/trucks/machinery with the preschooler, and learn all about the children's interests. The nanny should also be extremely comfortable with infant/toddler care routines and safety oriented.

The family is being COVID cautious and would like a nanny who takes a similar approach to health and safety. They plan to start with a one-year contract and will offer a competitive pay rate, along with benefits such as paid sick leave and health insurance stipend.
