Structured and Active Nanny (27517)
Updated: Dec 10, 2020

Select Sitters is seeking a mature, structured, and energetic nanny for a family in Chapel Hill starting soon! The family has three children who are 5, 3, and 18 months so they are seeking someone who enjoys learning through play and being active with this lively bunch. Most days the nanny’s attention will be focused on the 5 year old as she learns remotely until the school system goes back to in person learning. The youngest is in daycare for the majority of the day Monday-Friday and the family’s 3-year-old is in preschool MWF. They have it set up this way so that their strong-willed 5-year-old can have some much-needed one-on-one time with the nanny. As with all things in recent times, they are looking for someone who is flexible if schools do need to close again, but their plan is to ideally keep the ratio primarily at 2 kids max in the nanny’s care for the majority of her work week. The best match would be a good combination of firm and also fun, someone who knows how to redirect/distract and set boundaries is important with their oldest little girl who is smart and passionate. Both parents are working from home at the moment, but they will ask their nanny to help with pick up and drop off for the youngest two and hope for someone who can fit at least 2 car seats. The family also has a friendly large dog.
The family will need their nanny Monday-Friday 8am-5pm typically, the younger two children attend school 8:30am-3:30pm so there will be a couple of hours each day with all 3 children outside of school hours. They are also hoping for a nanny who is comfortable helping with the kid’s laundry and helping pick up after the children’s meals and play. They are hoping to welcome their new nanny ASAP and have had excellent experiences with long-term nannies in the past. They are hoping for at least a one-year commitment if not longer.
Ideal Nanny Would Have:
-3-5 years of professional childcare experience
-Excellent References
-Experience with Virtual Learning a Plus
-Basic understanding (colors, numbers) of the Spanish Language preferred but not required (5- year-old is in immersion school)
-Reliable Transportation, Room for 2 Car Seats, and Clean Driving Record
-Ability to commit for at least a year to the family
-CPR/First Aid Certification
